Orion 09007 SpaceProbe Reflector Telescope

This SpaceProbe 130 Reflector variant is much more lightweight than the regular model. The optical tube 130ST reflector is 24″ long compared to the normal 130″ 33.’ The primary mirror of the ST’s 130 mm (5.1) “focal length is 650 mm (f/5), providing a broader visual field and sharper images for a specified focal length eyepiece lens of the telescope. The primary 130 mm aperture is a diffraction-limited parabolic mirror, the same form used on much larger reflector telescopes that cost several times as much. A parabolic mirror is a must on a short-focal-length system like this one for concentrating incoming light to a point and providing sharp, detailed pictures.
In addition, the secondary mirror is placed in a specialized holder with a thin 0.5 mm metal valve, to minimize spikes of diffraction and light loss. These capabilities together with the 25 mm (26x power) and 10 mm (65x power) Sirius Plossl telescope eyepieces and 6×30 fast-release achromatic finder scope makes this one wonderful optical astronomical device!
